Utilities Can Speed and Simplify Grid Modernization with Utility4U™ CIS+MDM – Now Integrated with SAP Utilities Core

San Diego, CAMonday, September 19 —Utegration announced today at the SAP for Utilities conference that its Utility4U CIS+MDM solution, which is integrated with SAP Utilities Core, is now available to a market that is hungry for ways to master a quickly changing business landscape. Utility4U CIS+MDM is one of the first solutions certified by SAP that leverages SAP Utilities Core, which was announced earlier this year.

Utility4U CIS+MDM is a great fit for utilities of all sizes looking to re-platform and achieve their grid modernization goals because it provides them with the technology and built-in processes for improved customer service and a simplified landscape for smart metering.

The solution is part of the Utility4U platform, an end-to-end solution that encompasses all key functionality for Customer Information System (CIS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), and comes with 116 utility-specific business processes for customer service, and asset and work management built in. Also, within the modular platform are Utegration’s SAP-certified solutions: Finance4U® Property and Lease Accounting, Finance4U® Regulatory Accounting and Reporting, and MeterData4U®, CIS-embedded meter data management (MDM).

With Utility4U CIS+MDM, utilities can leverage a powerful solution that limits customizations and accelerates digitalization because it comes standard with leading processes and functionality already built in, including:

    • 43 customer service processes
    • 360-degree view of front office and back office
    • 17 pre-configured rate foundations
    • Support for deregulated market communications
    • Configured dashboards, reports, and embedded analytics

“Meeting corporate goals in a utility depends on the organization’s ability to connect their customers, the field, customer service, asset management, finance, regulatory bodies – everything,” said Maureen Bolen, Chief Growth Officer at Utegration and Executive Sponsor for Utility4U.

“That’s why, when our industry experts designed the Utility4U platform, we created it with the full complement of capabilities which utilities can add on as needed. We also built in a user-friendly experience for utility customers and their employees, because successful transformation is about user adoption. Utility4U solutions that are integrated with SAP Utilities Core are a very efficient way for utilities to connect to the future.”

Individuals attending the SAP for Utilities conference can hear more about the solution at the Utegration booth in the exhibit hall, or during the 1:40 pm session on Tuesday, September 20, titled “Driving Value and Sustainable Growth with SAP S/4HANA®.”
