Houston, TX - Jun 8, 2023 - Today, Utegration announced that Imperial Irrigation District (IID), a utility serving Southern California with approximately 170,000 AMI meters, went live on MeterData4U, the company's next-generation solution for AMI. IID is the second utility in North America to adopt this modern approach of leveraging AMI data to drive operational and customer benefits.MeterData4U is a CIS-embedded meter data management (MDM) solution that enriches meter-to-cash and customer services processes with rich AMI data. Patented and SAP-certified, MeterData4U is a plugin for SAP Industry Solution - Utilities (IS-U).
IID will be leveraging Itron's head end system and network to communicate with these meters. The go-live occurred over the May 20-21 weekend. The District will be cautiously cutting the meters over in the next few months.
Two more MeterData4U projects are currently in flight, as solution adoption is quickly accelerating.
